well, it's officially summer! which means festivals, summer parties, and BBQ's and maybe even a summer romance is on the menu for you? For me my favorite part of the summer and all the lovely hot weather is enjoying a perfect ice cold cocktail to sip away at while the sun shines down on my very pale skin. Oh how I need a tan! However, hwy not enjoy some of my favorite cocktails too while your enjoying a good old rest as half of the year is already gone!
The Mojito
- 1 tsp white sugar
- a good squeeze of lime or lemon juice
- a handful of mint sprigs, (don't cut off the stalks as these contain
essential oils vital for the flavour of the drink) - ice
- soda water, to serve
- 50ml white rum
- a dash of Angostura bitters
- lime slices, to serve
I love a good Mojito, Mojito is that perfect refreshing drink. However it is a bit like marmite so some people may love it others will spit it right out!
Driver's Punch
- 100g cranberries
- 100ml/3½fl oz cranberry juice
- 500ml blood orange juice (Sanguinello)
- juice of 1 lime
- thin wedges of lime
- thin wedges of orange
- mint sprigs
- 600ml Appletise, sparkling apple juice drink
